City of Philadelphia, Office of the City Representative
Public Relations Specialist (February 2013 – Present)

  • Handle media relations for OCR events, including the creation of press releases and media alerts, compiling press clips from events, and on site media management.
  • Write ceremonials documents for the City, including official letters and proclamations.
  • Manage social media accounts for major events, including the Wawa Welcome America! festival, the Philadelphia Marathon, the Philadelphia Collection and the City of Philadelphia’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration.
  • Supervise OCR interns in the office and on site at events.

Philadelphia Marathon  
Marketing Coordinator (August 2012 – December 2012)

  • Develop new content for the Philadelphia Marathon website.
  • Update and edit the Official 2012 Philadelphia Marathon Race Guide.
  • Manage media credentialing for the 2012 race.
  • Assist with media check-in and management on site.
  • Collect and organize press clips.

Welcome America, Inc.  
Assistant to the Associate Director (June 2012 – July 2012)

  • Coordinate schedules for and manage more than 100 volunteers.
  • Work on site at Wawa Welcome America! festival events. Help with set-up, break-down, crowd control and the operation of information tables.
  • Organize all ticketing for the Philly 4th of July Jam, “The Largest Free Concert in America.”
  • Review and edit press materials, including press releases, media alerts and social media posts.
  • Manage five interns in the office and on site.

  • Prepare press materials, including press releases, media alerts and pitches.

Public Relations Student Society of America, Temple University Chapter
President (May 2011 – May 2012)

  • Organize weekly meetings for 45+ members of Temple University’s chapter of PRSSA.
  • Lead an 11-member executive board and oversee all chapter activities.
  • Spearhead recruitment efforts, including tactics such as: classroom visits, email blasts and attendance at university events.

  • Assist with coordinating schedules for and managing more than 60 volunteers.
  • Work on site at Wawa Welcome America! festival events. Help with set-up, crowd control and the operation of information tables.
  • Handle administrative duties in the office, including: answering phones, filing, maintaining a log of all payments made to vendors and employees, and updating the website.
