25 Before 25

It has been almost three weeks since I celebrated my 24th birthday in London, and naturally, I’m already having mini “quarter life crisis” freak outs. I don’t know what it is about turning 25 that makes us question every aspect of our lives, but it happens. So, instead of spending my year as a 24 year-old in a constant state freaking out, I decided to look at the next year as an opportunity – a concept my friend Jess wrote about last year after experiencing her own quarter life crisis.

Like any good Type-A lady, I obviously needed to create a list. In honor of my impending 25th birthday, I developed my own personal “25 Before 25” list.

The items on this list may seem arbitrary, but they all mean something to me. Some of them are things from my “Bucket List” that I decided to knock out while I can. Others are ideas that I admittedly stole from other “25 Before 25” lists that I found online. And some are new goals that I’ve set for myself .

  1. Visit a new country.
  2. Go to the gym regularly.
  3. Journal.
  4. See LeBron James play (in person, not on TV).
  5. Delete anyone from Facebook that I don’t actually know.
  6. Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.
  7. Decide on a name for this blog (I’m sick of looking at my name).
  8. Learn more about my family’s history.
  9. Go to church.
  10. Put money in my savings account every month (even if it is only a few dollars).
  11. Find a beer that I like.
  12. Attempt to learn a new language.
  13. Speak to a class at my high school.
  14. Buy a decent pair of sunglasses (no…pairs from Target don’t count!).
  15. Get a tattoo.
  16. Reconnect with an old friend.
  17. Watch all of the movies nominated for Best Picture at the 2015 Oscars.
  18. Have a true “Girls Night.”
  19. Take a trip alone.
  20. Read 10 new books.
  21. Go to Brooklyn with my Dad.
  22. Finish my high school scrapbook.
  23. Learn how to use Photoshop.
  24. Try yoga.
  25. Explore my city.

Thanks for including my post here!

This is such a great list. I can help with a few- come with me to yoga! You’ll get hooked.

I have wanted to travel alone (for fun and not just for work) for awhile, but haven’t done that yet. Maybe this year or next year!

Good luck completing your list! xo

PS- I freaked out way more about turning 26 than I did for 25. I should practice what I preach and think of it as an opportunity, but I was like HOLY CRAP, I’m in my late twenties now. EEEEEKS.
